The Sibyl’s Scrolls

This work entitled The Sibyl’s Scrolls is actually an oracle, which will help you to roleplay solo, thanks to its ease of use. Although you can use it in any other game or setting you like, the book has been specially designed to complement the Black Sphynx collection, a series of works designed for solitaire role-playing.

In each one of them you will be proposed a different adventure, full of challenges that will shape your story, with the help of this oracle, which will answer all your questions.

Thanks to its simple design, you don’t have to search for different oracles, depending on your question. On the contrary, all you have to do is ask a question and roll one 100-sided dice (1d100), for which two 10-sided dice (2d10) are usually used. Depending on the result, all you have to do is go to the appropriate page, where you will find the answer to the question you have asked.

These questions can be of different kinds. The first and most important are questions that can only be answered with ‘Yes’ or ‘No’. From there, you can ask any number of questions… What is happening in the city? Why are these people running away…?

Similarly, you can combine several questions to obtain much more elaborate and detailed answers, which will provide information to the story you are developing. Given the many options offered by this oracle, there are an infinite number of possible combinations.

On the other hand, in addition to words divided into categories, each page also has an evocative image. If you want to use it, just roll 1d100 and visit the corresponding page. The image you find can give you ideas or inspiration to complete any description, situation or scene. As the player, it is up to you to make sense of it within the narrative you are creating.
